Offertory Collection this weekend is for The Parish Reserve Fund..

Offertory Collection next weekend PALLOTINE FATHERS MISSION APPEAL.
Fr. Matthew Sanka SCA, will visit our parish next weekend to make a Mission Appeal on behalf of the Pallotine Fathers. Fr. Matthew is a native of Tanzania and has been working in Ireland for the past three years at the Pallotine Fathers House in Thurles. We look forward to welcoming him and ask for your support towards his Mission Appeal.

The following Hours of Adoration need to be covered in The Blessed Sacrament Chapel in Fermoy. 4.00 5.00 am early Monday morning and 5.00 to 6.00 am early Thursday morning. If anyone can cover either of these hours even for a short while, please let one of the priests know.

The Bi – Centenary Celebrations for St. Patrick’s Church Fermoy begin this Sunday.
1811 – 2011

The celebrations begin with a performance of Handel’s Messiah. This performance will take place in St. Patrick’s Church Fermoy on Sunday 23rd January 2011at 7.15pm by
The East Cork Choral Society with Soloists Mary Hegarty (Soprano); Brigitte Hammer (Alto);Paul O’ Connor (Tenor) and Eoghan Desmond (Bass) .
This event has been organised by by Fermoy Parish Choir. There are still some tickets remaining and these will be available at the Church Door on the night.
Our Bi – Centenary will be inaugurated by Fermoy Town Mayor Cllr. Patrick O’ Driscoll. Everyone attending the performance are requested to be in their seats by 7.15pm.

May God bless our Parish in a special way in the year ahead.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity:
From 18th to 25th January the week of prayer for Christian Unity is held.
Please keep this intention in your prayers during this time. The Fermoy Service for Christian unity will this year take place on Wednesday 9th February at 8.30pm in The Presbyterian Church Greenhill.

St. Colman’s College Fermoy OPEN NIGHT:
Date: Thursday 3rd February 2011. Time 7.00pm.

Upcoming Reunion! Fermoy Macra na Feirme are holding a Reunion for past members from the 80’s and 90’s on Saturday, 29th January in the Grand Hotel, Fermoy at 8.30 p.m. We are having dinner or simply come in for a chat. Tickets €25.00 from Anne-Marie 087-9892893 or Paul 086-8298895.

Good quality Clothing required for the the Thrift Shop based at the Resource Centre, Fermoy. All money goes towards the up-keep of the building and services, including the Meals on Wheels Service.
