Offertory Collection this weekend is for PALLOTINE FATHERS MISSION APPEAL.
Fr. Matthew Sanka SCA, is visiting our Parish this weekend to make a Mission Appeal on behalf of the Pallotine Fathers. Fr. Matthew is a native of Tanzania and has been working in Ireland for the past three years at the Pallotine Fathers House in Thurles. We extend a very warm welcome to Fr. Matthew and we ask for your support towards his Mission Appeal.
The following Hour of Adoration needs to be covered in The Blessed Sacrament Chapel in Fermoy. 5.00 to 6.00 am early Thursday morning. If anyone can cover this hourseven for a short while, please let one of the priests know.
Tuesday 1st February Feast of St. Brigid (Patron of Ireland)
Wednesday 2nd February Feast of The Presentation of The Lord ( Candlemas Day). Blessing of Candles during all Masses.
Thursday 3rd February Feast of St. Blaise Blessing of throats after Masses.
Friday is the First Friday of the Month. Confessions on Thursday, 12noon -1 pm. Additional Mass on Friday at 9.30 am., Our Lady Queen of Peace Church.
First Friday/ Saturday Vigil of Reparation in the Adoration Chapel. Begins at 8.35pm and ends at 1.30 am. Mass at 12 Midnight. All welcome.
We thank all who helped in the many different ways in the Churches of our parish during the month of January. We ask Collectors Group 4 to please take up duty next weekend for the month of February.
Divine Mercy Chaplet will be recited after the 7.30pm Mass on Tuesday 1st February.
Divine Mercy Prayer Group hour of prayer on Thursday 3rd February in The Blue Nuns Chapel 8.15pm to 9.15pm. Everyone welcome.
St. Joseph’s Young Priests Society : Monthly Meeting will take place in The Resource Centre McCurtin Street on Wednesday 2nd February 2011 at 2.15pm. New Members very welcome.
No Meeting of The Parish Council in February. The meeting scheduled for Tuesday 1st February has been postponed until first Tuesday of March.
A Meeting of The Residents of Station Area 22 i.e. Clondulane, Fitzgerald Place and Careysville will take place on Monday 31st January at 8.00 pm in Clondulane Community Centre. All Residents are invited to attend this important meeting.

A talk on General Health and Wellbeing will be given by Sarah Granville & Jackie Hooton on Wed. 2nd February at 2.30pm at Fermoy Community Youth Centre. Also on Wednesday 2nd Feb at 8.15pm in the same venue the film â€œHigh Societyâ€ will be shown.
The Bi – Centenary Celebrations for St. Patrick’s Church Fermoy (1811 – 2011) began last Sunday.The celebrations began with a performance of Handel’s Messiah. A huge word of thanks to everyone involved, ensuring the night was a night to remember. Thanks to The East Cork Choral Society & Orchestra and their Conductor Colin Nicholls. To the Soloists Mary Hegarty, Brigitte Hammer, Paul Oâ€™ Connor and Eoghan Desmond. To Fermoy Parish Church Altar Society for the beautiful floral decorations in the Church.
