The following Hour of Adoration needs to be covered in The Blessed Sacrament Chapel in Fermoy. 5.00 to 6.00 am early Thursday morning. If anyone can cover this hourseven for a short while, please let one of the priests know.

Notice for Eucharistic Adorers in The Blessed Sacrament Chapel in Fermoy:
All Adorers are invited to attend the 7.30pm Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Fermoy on Friday next 18th February. After the Mass there will be a period of Guided Reflection conducted by Fr. Pat Winkle – Diocesan Director Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration.

Calendar of Events to Celebrate the Bi-Centenary of St. Patrick’s Church Fermoy 1811-2011:
The Bi-Centenary Celebrations began with a Performance of Handel’s “Messiah” on 23rd January. This event was organised by Fermoy Parish Choir. The event was a wonderful success and a great way to begin our year of celebration. On Wednesday last Fermoy Parish Choir presented Fr. Aquin Casey (Administrator) with a cheque for €3,500 being the proceeds from the Messiah. This cheque has been lodged to The Parish Reserve Fund A/C. Once again sincerest thanks to all who helped in any way with this event. Also Fermoy Parish Choir have sponsored the Bi-Centenary Banners which are hanging from the galleries and sincerest thanks for this gift. The Bi- Centenary Celebrations continue during 2011 as follows.

Sunday 6th March The 10.30am Mass will be televised live by RTE.
Good Friday 22nd April Bi-Centenary Cross will be unveiled in The Church Grounds.
Sunday 15th May Christ Church Fermoy have organised a Garden Fete in The Grounds of Ballyvolane House, Castlelyons to mark our special year.
Friday 1st July to Sunday 3rd July There will be a Flower Festival in St. Patrick’s Parish Church. On Saturday 2nd July, the 7.30pm Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Dermot Clifford. This will be followed by a Social/ Family Evening.
First Week of October Parish Mission conducted by Redemptorists.
Sunday 18th December (4th Sunday of Advent) Bi- Centenary Celebrations will close with Christmas Carol Service.

The 2011 National Pancake Party
The National Children’s Hospital, Tallaght are asking you to flip for them again this year by hosting a Pancake Party between March 4th and 8th. The money raised from The 2011 National Pancake Party will go towards helping sick children receive the best possible care in The National Children’s Hospital, Tallaght.
