Offertory Collection this weekend is for The Parish Reserve Fund.

We thank all who helped in the many different ways in the Churches of our parish during the month of February. We ask Collectors Group 1 to please take up duty next weekend for the month of March.

Friday is the First Friday of the Month of March. Confessions on Thursday, 12noon -1 pm. Additional Mass on Friday at 9.30 am., Our Lady Queen of Peace Church.

Divine Mercy Chaplet will be recited after the 7.30 pm Mass on Tuesday 1st March.

Divine Mercy Prayer Group will meet on Thursday 3rd March in The Blue Nun’s Chapel. 8.15pm – 9.15pm. An hour of Prayer, Song and Reflection. Everyone welcome.

St. Joseph’s Young Priests’ Society will meet at 2.15 pm on Wednesday 2nd March, in the Resource Centre. New faces always welcome.

World Day of Prayer Service at Christ Church Fermoy on Friday 4th March at 8.30pm. Everyone welcome.

A meeting of the Parish Council will take place this Tuesday 1st March at 8.15 pm in. the Parish Centre. All Council members are requested to attend if possible.

IMPORTANT NOTICE re MASS TIMES in ST. PATRICK’S CHURCH, FERMOY for SUNDAY 6th MARCH: On Sunday 6th March (next Sunday) RTE will televise live Mass from St. Patrick’s Church Fermoy. This live televised Mass is to highlight the Bi-Centenary of our Parish Church. To fit in with the television schedule the Mass times on that day will have to be changed. This means that for Sunday 6th March only Masses will be at 11.00am (televised Mass) and 12.30pm.
Therefore Masses Next Weekend are:
Saturday 5th March Vigil Mass 7.30pm St. Patrick’s Church.
Sunday 6th March 11.00am and 12.30pm St. Patrick’s Church.
Sunday 6th March 8.30am and 6.30pm Queen of Peace Church. .

FERMOY ACTIVE RETIREMENT ASS. – “Our next group meeting will be held on Wed next Mar 2nd at 2.30pm in the Fermoy Commuynity Youth Centre. Mr Joe Tobin Chairperson, Fermoy Neighbourhood Watch, will speak on “Social monitored Alarms for the elderly”. Our Local Community Garda will also be in attendance, All are welcome”,

The Fermoy St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee are asking all those who wish to take part in the parade to register on the website by Monday 14th March. This is to facilitate the orderly start to the parade. All those who register will be allocated a position in the parade; all those who do not register will be placed to the back of the parade. The website is www.fermoypatricksday.com. The parade starts at 11:00 a.m. at Cavanagh’s Garage, Cork Road and ends this year in Pearse Square.
