IMPORTANT NOTICE re MASS TIMES in ST. PATRICK’S CHURCH, FERMOY for SUNDAY 6th MARCH: On Sunday 6th March (2 Sundays away) RTE will televise live Mass from St. Patrick’s Church Fermoy. This live televised Mass is to highlight the Bi-Centenary of our Parish Church. To fit in with the television schedule the Mass times on that day will have to be changed. This means that for Sunday 6th March only Masses will be at 11.00am (televised Mass) and 12.30pm.
UMBRA CLOTHING Supporting Fr. Nicholas Maanzo’s Education Programme in Kitui will hold a Clothing Collection on Wednesday 23rd Feb 2011. All types of clean & dry Ladies, Gents and Childrensâ€™ Clothing, Bed Linen, Curtains, Towels and Shoes are welcome. Bags can be left outside the railings of St. Patrick’s Church (Chapel Square side) before 12.00 Noon on Wednesday.
Fermoy and District Active Retirement Association:
The next Open meeting of the above group, will take place in the Community Youth Centre on Wed Next Feb 23rd at 2.30pm. This promises to be an entertaining, interesting and participatory session, facilitated by an experienced Story Teller. All are welcome.
A quiz night will be held at the Grand Hotel on Monday the 21st of February at 8:30. Proceeds from the night will go towards the Meals on Wheels Service at the Resource Centre. Anyone interested in participating can contact the Centre at 32962.
The next meeting of the Men’s Group will take place at the Resource Centre on Wednesday the 23rd of February at 7:30 p.m. All new members welcome. For further information contact Mary at 32962.
GLANWORTH PARISH MISSION:
Niall Slattery will share his incredible story of conversion from Football Houligan to committed Christian at the Parish Mission in Holy Cross Church, Glanworth from Monday 21st Feb to Friday 25th Feb. Evening sessions are at 8pm Monday to Friday and morning sessions are at 9.30am Monday to Thursday. Everybody is welcome.
We need your support to ensure the continuation of our Country Market which is held each Friday at Fermoy Youth Centre from 2-4pm. You will have a variety to choose from e.g free-range eggs,apple tart, brown and soda bread,chocolate/coffee cakes,fresh scones,jams and also enjoy a cuppa and chat among friends. Do drop in and support a very worthy Community effort in a friendly atmosphere each Friday afternoon.
