Solemnity of The Immaculate Conception of The Blessed Virgin Mary:
Thursday next 8th December is a Holy Day of Obligation celebrating this Feast of Mary. Vigil Mass on Wed 7th at 7.30pm in St. Patrick’s. Masses on Thursday 8th at 10.30am; 12noon and 7.30pm in St. Patrick’s. Mass at 8.30am in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church on the 8th .

FERMOY PARISH COUNCIL: A meeting of Fermoy Parish Council will take place on Wednesday 7th December in The Parish Centre, McCurtin Street at 8.15pm. All Parish Council Members are requested to attend if possible. Note change of day for meeting.

Fermoy Conference of St. Vincent de Paul:
In the weeks coming up to Christmas extra demands will be made on the resources of The St. Vincent de Paul Society. The Members of The Fermoy Conference appeal to your generosity so that they on your behalf can help those who are in most need in our community this Christmas time.

Fermoy Legion of Mary Annual Newsletter: The Legion of Mary Newsletter will be on sale this weekend.

The Mayor’s Christmas Concert.
This concert will take place in St. Patrick’s Church, Fermoy on this Tuesday 6th December at 8.30pm. All proceeds on the night will ne in aid of Fermoy St. Vincent de Paul Society. Performers on the night will include Sarah Barry, Fr. Liam Lawton, Bel Canto Choir, Castlelyons Gospel Choir, The Thomas Kent Pipe Band and A Choir of Children drawn from the Schools in Fermoy Parish. Organist on the night will be Colin Nichols. Tickets are now on sale. Priced at €10. Tickets available at Hanley’s Newsagents, Fermoy.

CHRIST CHURCH FERMOY:
ADVENT CAROL SERVICE on this Sunday 4th December at 8.15pm. Fermoy Concert Band will take part. All welcome and refreshments served after service.

FERMOY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH GREENHILL:
Candle Light Carol Service on Sunday 11th December at 7.30pm in The Presbyterian Church Greenhill. Everybody is welcome to celebrate “The coming of Christ our Saviour – The Light of the World”. Following the Service there will be a mince pie supper.

Fermoy Senior Citizens Christmas Party: Takes place on Tuesday 13th Dec at 7.30pm in The Fermoy Rowing Club. Four Course Meal with Dancing to Pacific Blue. Tickets €10. Telephone Frances on 086-8762355 or Contact any Committee Member.

Our newly-formed Irish group will meet on Wednesday next (Dec. 7th) at 8.30pm in Grand Hotel for the usual get-together and the cúpla focal Gaeilge. There will also be a spell of song and ceol to entice a little of the Christmas spirit- ‘spiorad na Nollag’ in jovial company…So do join us and a sincere welcome to one and all

Presentation Primary School Annual Christmas Fayre will be held in the school this Sunday 4th December at 1.30pm. This is a wonderful event with stalls, raffles, face painting and much more. Santa will also be in attendance in his magical grotto. All are welcome to this wonderful event.

FERMOY AND DISTRICT ACTIVE RETIREMENT ASSOCIATION will hold their annual Charity event in the Youth and Community Centre, Ashe Quay on next Wednesday, December 7th. at 2.30 p.m. Included will be Christmas Floral Arranging by some of our members, a Bring and Buy sale and raffle. Proceeds to local branch of St. Vincent De Paul Society. All are most welcome.

The Fermoy and District Rotary will have a Christmas Tree of Remembrance in the car park of Riordans Super Valu Fermoy next Friday 9th and Saturday 10th of December. The proceeds will go to the local branch of Fermoy Saint Vincent de Paul. Please sponsor a Ribbon for this worthy cause.
The idea of the Christmas Tree of Remembrance is that Memberof the puplic are invited to leave little messages remembering their departed loved ones, which are then placed in a garland on the Christmas Tree.
