EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS BELL:
The Eucharistic Congress Bell was in St. Patrick’s Church, Fermoy on Tuesday last 20th December. Many got the opportunity to ring the bell. A bell is a reminder and a call to come into God’s presence to be nourished by His Word and The Eucharist. As we journey towards The International Eucharistic Congress in Dublin next June, may the memory of the Congress Bell be a reminder that God is with us. Emmanuel. Thanks to everyone who participated and helped in any way while The Congress bell was in Fermoy. A special thanks to The Parish Choir.
The Christmas Carol Service:
Last Sunday the Annual Christmas Carol Service took place in St. Patrick’s Church. Sincerest thanks to all who attended and helped in any way. To The Parish Choir, Directed by Deirdre Foley and Organist Aileen Howard. To Fermoy Concert Band and their Conductor Rory Dineen. To Treble Clef . To The Loreto School Choir and their Director Tim Fuohy. To those who read the Christmas Reflections. To Eva O’ Leary for her wonderful Liturgical Dance. During The Carol Service the Bi-Centenary Celebrations of St. Patrick’s Church (1811 – 2011) were officially closed and thanks very much to Fermoy Mayor, Cllr. Michael Hanley for his very kind and encouraging words as we begin to write a new chapter in the history of St. Patrick’s.
