The following Hours of Adoration need to be covered in The Blessed Sacrament Chapel in Fermoy. 7.00 to 8.00am early Thursday Morning; 7.00 to 8.00am early Friday Morning and . 7.00 to 8.00pm Saturday Evening.. If anyone can cover any of these hours even for a short while please let one of the priests know.
Maranatha meeting next Monday 23rd at 8:15 in Blue Nuns.Maranatha Community (made up of members from all the Christian churches) prays for unity, renewal and healing which is very relevant in this week of Christian Unity. All are welcome.
Free Basic Computer Skills from Avondhu Blackwater Partnership
Due to popular demand Avondhu Blackwater Community Connect will deliver Basic Computer Training to older people and those in receipt of jobseekers benefit. The training will begin on Monday 23rd January from 10am to 12 noon with a second class beginning at 2.00pm until 4.00pm . The course will be delivered at Avondhu Blackwater Partnership office, The Showgrounds, Fermoy with plenty of individual attention. Choose from internet and email, search the web, learn how to download your digital photographs, pay your car tax online or use Skype. Delivered in three two-hourly classes so if you would like to participate then contact Mary at 025/33411 or give your name at the Avondhu Blackwater Office, The Showgrounds, Fermoy.
Eucharistic Congress 10th -17th June 2012:
SUNDAY 17TH JUNE — FINAL CELEBRATION OF THE CONGRESS, CROKE PARK, DUBLIN
The Diocese of Cloyne has been allocated 1,000 tickets for this celebration. Each ticket is â‚¬10 which goes to cover the costs of the Congress. These tickets will be allocated on a first come first basis. Those interested in acquiring a ticket will have to fill out a form with the â‚¬10 before the 15th March. If a person is attending the Congress for 3 days or more, they are entitled to seek a ticket from the National Congress Committee which can be done online or with their 3 or more day booking. As Croke Park has a limited capacity, only those who have tickets will be able to take part in the celebration in the Park.More Information will be available before the end of January.
Wednesday 13th June 2012; Feast of St. Anthony
The Diocese of Cloyne is planning to take part in the Congress as a Diocese on Wednesday 13th June. There will be various workshops on various themes during the morning and in the afternoon there will be testimonies, catechesis and celebration of Mass. In the evening there will be a Eucharistic Procession. COST FOR THIS ONE DAY REGISTRATION Single day tickets â‚¬30: â‚¬28 (Concession): â‚¬25 (Child): â‚¬95 (Family)
This price does not include the cost of transport to get to the RDS or food.
There will be more information in relation to providing some transport to take people to the Congress on Wednesday 13th June and the costs at the end of the month.
FERMOY BRANCH MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS (MS)
THE AGM OF ABOVE BRANCH WILL TAKE PLACE ON SUNDAY 12TH FEB at 2PM IN THE PITCH AND PUTT CLUBHOUSE. ALL MEMBERS, FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND AND WILL BE VERY WELCOME. LIGHT REFRESHMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE AFTER MEETING.
TABLE QUIZ NIGHT: Fermoy Rowing Club present a Table Quiz on Monday January 23rd at 8.30pm (sharp) in The Grand Hotel, Fermoy. Proceeds in aid of Blackwater Day Centre. Tables of 5 â‚¬30 and raffle on the night. Your support would be very much appreciated.
Tickets on Sale at Fermoy Youth Centre daily for Red Riding Hood Panto which will commence on Thursday 26th January at 7.30pm. Tickets are â‚¬10.00 each.
