Sacrament of Confirmation: Congratulations to The Boys and Girls from Presentation Primary School; St. Joseph’s National School; Gaelscoil de hIde and Bishop Murphy Memorial School who received their Confirmation in St. Patrick’s Church, Fermoy last Thursday. They were blessed with a lovely fine day. May God’s Holy Spirit guide them and protect them at all times.

10.30 am Weekday Masses:
The Presentation Sisters on College Road have a 10.30am Mass each morning Monday to Friday on a fairly regular basis and The Presentation Sisters would like it to be known that everyone is more than welcome to join them for Mass in The Convent Chapel, College road..
Also on Tuesday and Friday each week there is a 10.30am Mass in Fermoy Hospital Chapel.

Loreto Secondary School Parents Association would like to thank most sincerely all who attended and supported their Table Quiz Fund Raiser in The Grand Hotel on 12th March last. All funds raised go towards the students in the school. Also thanks to Fermoy Rowing Club; The Grand Hotel and to all who sponsored prizes for the raffle.

FERMOY LIONS CLUB QUIZ, on Monday March 19th at the Grand Hotel, at 8.30. Proceeds are in aid of “LIAMS LIFTS”. Please support this very worthy cause.

The motto of the Irish Men’s Sheds Association is ‘Men don’t talk face to face, they talk shoulder to shoulder’. In response to a need expressed locally Avondhu Blackwater Partnership will hold a public meeting in the Orange Room at the Youth Centre, Fermoy on Thursday 29th March at 7.30pm with a view to setting up a Men’s Shed in Fermoy. John Evoy from Irish Men’s Sheds Association will address the meeting. Enquiries to Mary at 025/33411

FermoyActive Retirement Next Meetingon Wed.March21st,at 2.30pm in the Youth and Community Centre, Ashe Quay,Fermoy. Guest speaker ,Mr.Des Scanlan B.Agr.Sc.(Hort),will give a talk on “Spring Gardens” and share his expertise to help solve any gardening problems.
Local poet ,Gene Barry,will edit poems for inclusion in the forthcoming Aosta Poetry Booklet ,which will be launched by author,Alice Taylor,at the Aosta Conference in the Charleville Park Hotel on 25th April.

Colaiste an Chraoibhin Adult Education Centre in Fermoy will host an Adult Education Information Evening on Monday the 26th March 7-8.30pm . Meet with the tutors and find out about the fulltime FETAC courses available at our centre for 2012. No course fees for those in receipt of social welfare.
