The Blessed Sacrament Chapel: The following hours needs help covering in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel.
Wednesday 7am to 8 am, WEDNESDAYS 9am to 10 am
& Thursday 5 pm to 6 pm
Holiday Cover for 3rd, 10th, & 17th May from 10 to 11pm
If you can cover any of these hours, even for a short time please let one of the priests know
Church Door Collector’s: Thanks to Group Two who collected for the month of April, Group Three can take up duty from next weekend the 1st May.
Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Cloyne Diocese: Annual Day of Prayer and Reflection for Eucharistic Adorers On Saturday 14th May our annual Day of Prayer and Reflection will commence at 10am with Mass in St. Mary’s Church Mallow. We will convene afterwards in the Mercy Centre, Mallow for talks and guided prayer on the theme of Eucharistic adoration in the Year of Mercy with Mary Lehane, Macroom and Canon Michael Fitzgerald, Mitchelstown. The suggested offering for the day is €10 and please being a packed lunch. Items of a Religious or Community Nature are welcome for this Parish Newsletter. Mitchelstown Macra Promoting mental Health Awareness through the Arts: Mitchelstown macra invite you to our initiative to highlight mental health in the rural community. On the 4th May in Corrin Mart event Centre Fermoy, a screening on the film “Pilgrim Hill” will take place. The month of May is mental health awareness month. Refreshments on the night & key guest speakers. Everyone is welcome so feel free to invite friends & family. Free entry for all. Doors open at 7.15pm.
Fermoy Honours the Men & Women of 1916: Fermoy 1916 Rising Centenary Commemoration Committee will hold a Mass on Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May at 10.30 am in St Patrick’s Church Fermoy to commemorate the Men & W omen of 1916 Rising. All schools, clubs & organisations are especially invited to take part. After mass a parade from Chapel Sq to Pearse Sq will take place unveiling 2 plaques along the route also the reading of the Proclamation & unveiling of a plaque on the Bridge which will be named Kent Bridge. Oration to be given by Thomas McDonaghs great Granddaughter Michelle Drysdale
