Children’s Liturgy: We would love to see lots of children at the Children’s Liturgy each Sunday during Advent. It’s a very special time of year. Each Sunday we will be talking time to colour in Christmas cards for the patients at Fermoy Community Hospital. We will also be practicing our Christmas carol. We hope to visit the hospital after Mass on Sunday 22nd December to distribute the cards. All children and parents welcome.
Trocaire: Please support Trocaire’s Christmas Gift Campaign by purchasing real, ethical and life changing gifts for families in developing countries. From chicks to school lunches, from seeds and tools to beehives there are gifts for everyone. When you buy a gift you receive a card which you can pass to a family member or friend this Christmas. Trocaire Gift Cards will be on sale after all Masses in Fermoy Parish next weekend 30th Nov/1st December. Thank you for your support.
The opening line of the Gloria: Is taken from the words sung by the angels over the fields of Bethlehem, announcing to the shepherds the good news of Christ’s birth: “Gloria to God in the highest and on earth peace among men with whom he is pleased”. We prepare ourselves to welcome Jesus present at Mass by repeating the same words the angels sung to herald Christ’s coming.
