Autumn stations 2024: Many thanks to all who attended the Station Mass and for your continued support of the priests. Station Offerings can be handed in at any of Masses or the Parish Office.
Fermoy Parish will run a Bible Study: Course led by Fr Eamon Roche. The course will cover the Gospel of St John. The course will run for 16 weeks, either side of Christmas and will have something for all levels, beginners, intermediate and advanced. Why not join up? You would also support others on their faith journey. There is an Open Day, a Come-and-See meeting about the bible study (with no obligation to sign on) on Tuesday 8th October at 7.30pm in the Accord Building, Monument Hill, Fermoy. The course begins the following week and will run on Tuesdays 7.30pm to 9pm.
St Patrick’s Church Altar Servers Recruitment: Is now seeking to enrol Altar Servers for duties at St Patrick’s Church. Children who are after receiving their First Holy Communion are more than welcome. If your child is interested, please contact Trish in the office. Tel 025 30856
Children’s Liturgy: Returned today Sunday 29th September at the 10.30am Mass. All children are welcome. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult. Last year we managed to get through with a limited number of adults. However, we do need extra help in order to keep going. Medical Missionaries of Mary (MMM): Are visiting all the parishes in Cloyne Diocese this year. Visiting Fermoy this weekend will be Sr Helen Ahearne, a native of Fermoy, who has worked in Uganda & Tanzania & Theresa McDonnell an Associate member of MMM. They will speak about their work; they wish to thank you for your prayers & financial support. Having Sr Helen with us brings home to us that mission is rooted in the community from which the missionary is sent.

Feast day of St Francis of Assisi: To mark the feast day of St Francis of Assisi & the end of the celebration of the season of creation, Fr Brian will hold a short ceremony of the Blessing of the animals after the 12-noon mass on Sunday 6th October in the green area in front of Fr Eamon’s House. (Weather permitting). Dogs must be kept on a lead and cats & other animals in safe containers. Please also don’t forget to clean up after your pet. (Doggie bag)
